On Thursday, January 30th, at 1509hrs, deputies responded to the intersection of Glenmere Road and Benzonia Trail on the report of a vehicle into a residence. Upon arrival they found a 2012 Toyota Highlander SUV that had left the road way and struck the residence at 7014 Glenmere Road. The investigation showed a 74yr old man from Carmel Indiana was northbound on Benzonia Trail when he failed to stop for the stop sign at the Glenmere Road intersection. The Toyota went out of control traveling north through the "T" intersection leaving the roadway and striking the residence.
The driver was uninjured in the traffic crash. A citation was issued to the driver.
