Driver involved in 3 car crash arrested
A 42 year-old Cedar man was driving on S Schomberg Rd. in Leland Township Monday, seemingly minding his own business. The problem was he was driving with a suspended license and another motorist crashed into him. There were no injuries reported after a 28 year-old Maple City man drove too fast into a curve and went into the opposing lane, crashing into an oncoming car. After striking the first car, driven by a 34 year-old Fraser, CO woman, the Maple City man's car spun around and struck the third car, which was driven by the suspended driver.
The at-fault driver was cited for Driving Left of Center and the suspended driver was arrested by Leelanau County Sheriff's deputies for DWLS II. He was taken to jail and later released after posting $100 interim bond.
