The Leelanau County Sheriff's Office issued a driver two citations as the result of a traffic collision on Herman Road north of Pineview Road.
On Wednesday, January 29th, at approximately 1653hrs, deputies responded to the above location reference a traffic crash involving a vehicle and a private plow truck. The investigation showed a 55yr old Suttons Bay man was plowing in a Chevrolet plow truck traveling northbound in the southbound lane. A 26yr old Suttons Bay man was southbound in a Chevrolet passenger vehicle and came upon the oncoming plow truck. On coming northbound traffic was present and the southbound vehicle was unable to avoid striking the plow truck traveling north in the southbound lane.
The driver of the plow truck was issued two citations, one for improper lane use and the second citation was for no proof of vehicle insurance. No one was injured in the crash.
