Operating While Intoxicated

The Leelanau County Sheriff's Office arrested a subject after an incident on M72 near Glen's Landfill.

Deputies on routine patrol on 1/22/14 at approximately 2331hrs,  came across a 1997 Lincoln passenger vehicle that had left the roadway and struck a street sign.  The driver of the vehicle was identified as a 33yr old man from Kasson Township.  The deputies noticed signs of intoxication and an investigation was conducted.  After this the driver was taken into custody for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.  He was transported to and lodged at the Leelanau County Jail.
