Not much happening on a sunny Leelanau Monday

Not alot to report which isn't very exciting for you but good as far as serious crime and injury crashes in our County.  During the approximate 24 hour period from Sunday midnight to Monday midnight Leelanau Dispatch logged 30 events.  They included 5 involving Grand Traverse Band Police, 4 medical calls and a fire department assist to Peninsula Township in Grand Traverse County, 2 car/ deer crashes and 3 false residential alarms.

There was a barking dog complaint, a 911 hangup, 2 background checks for employment and a crash involving a county plow truck investigated by Michigan State Police.  Two road hazards and a dangerous driver were reported by motorists during the period as well.

An attempted phone scam from Jamaica was reported and a welfare check was done in Leelanau Township.  A malicious destruction of property was reported by a Suttons Bay Township landlord and a Leland Township caller was concerned that two people were "way out" and walking their two dogs near the center of N Lake Leelanau.
