Another pretty average day for Deputies

Monday was a somewhat typical day for Leelanau County deputies.  There were no major felonies or serious crashes reported.  An overview of the 24 hour period beginning Monday morning at midnight showed:

• 16 traffic stops resulting in 6 citations and 10 warnings
• 3 citizen reports of traffic violators
• 2 car/deer crashes
• 6 animal complaints, including lost & found dogs, animal welfare concerns, dogs at large and a utility worker being bit
• Illegal dumping complaint
• Threatening behavior reported
• 911 hang-up
• Motorist assist by a deputy
• 3 suspicious incidents/vehicles investigated
• An overdue high school student who eventually returned home
• Assist Antrim County by contacting a person in Suttons Bay
• Purse larceny investigated by Suttons Bay Police
