Two Domestic Disturbance Calls End in Arrests

Leelanau County Sheriff's deputies were called to a residence on W. Harbor Highway in Cleveland Township.  This call came in on 6/27/13 at 2204hrs.  It was reported that a 53yr old male was at the home threatening several other people.  Upon arrival deputies interviewed the parties involved and the 53yr old male was placed under arrest for domestic violence.  During the arrested he attempted to resist but was quickly subdued.  The 53yr old suspect who resides at this residence was lodged in the Leelanau County Jail for domestic assault and resisting and obstructing police.

At 2340hrs, deputies responded to a South Walnut Drive residence in Elmwood Township on the report of fight.  Upon arrival deputies interviewed several people and determined a 50 yr old male had assaulted a mother and son that resided at the residence.  The suspect was arrested for domestic assault and lodged at the Leelanau County Jail.


No serious injuries were reported in either incident.
