Representatives from the Leelanau County Sheriff's Office attended the Senior Expo today which was held at the Sutton's Bay High School. During the Expo seniors were able to dispose of unwanted prescription medications and during the event over five pounds of pills were collected for destruction.
The leelanau Sheriffs Office wants to remind citizens that located in the Lobby of the Sheriff's Office is a prescription drug drop box and it is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for anyone to drop off unwanted prescription medicines. Together we can keep these medications away from people they are not intended for.
