2 Small children returned home

Leelanau deputies assisted Grand Traverse Band Tribal police in returning two young children to their home Wednesday morning.  A passerby called Leelanau Dispatch at 4:27 am and said there were two small girls in the road on Peshawbestown Road who tried to hide as the caller passed by. 

Officers located the 5 and 7 year old girls and returned them safely to their homes.  It appears the adventurous tots snuck out of their homes. 

TC woman arrested on GTB warrant

Morgan A. Grant, 22, was arrested in Grand Traverse County Wednesday on a Grand Traverse Band Tribal warrant.  She was wanted for Failing to Appear/ Failing to Pay involving a Theft of Property case.  

She was transported to the Leelanau County jail and remains lodged on $1,000 bond.
