Quiet day in Leelanau County interrupted by a bear

It was a very quiet 24 hours period with the exception of some excitement on Dunns Farm Road.  A caller there reported at 5:44 pm yesterday that he heard a racket outside and looked out to find a large bear trying to get into his home.  He said as he looked out the window, the bear was looking at him or maybe into his home.

No action was taken and the bear left on his own a short time later.
