Package taken off of porch

A Solon Township resident reported that a package that was delivered Thursday was stolen.  The homeowner told a Leelanau County Sheriff's deputy that a package that was left on the porch was missing and believed stolen.

Citizens are reminded that delivered packages that are not received personally should not be left in sight of neighbors or passersby.  Arrangements should be made with package delivery services to leave the packages around the side or rear of the home if that makes it out of sight.

Deputies are investigating who may have stolen the package in Solon Township.
