May arrives quietly in Leelanau County

There was nothing of note to report.  Some of the calls given to Leelanau County Sheriff's deputies were;

• 7 traffic stops
• 2 animal complaints- 1 bite and 1 welfare check
• 3 reported traffic violations, 2 involving speeding motorcycles in Elmwood Township
• Prisoner transport to Jackson
• 2 unfounded business alarms
• Found driver's license and other wallet items returned to the owner in Elmwood Township
• 2- 911 hang up calls
• An assist to Munson Medical Center to contact a recently released patient to immediately return to the hospital
• A civil dispute involving one person raking leaves behind the trees and another neighbor shoveling them back onto the first person's property

Another day to be thankful for no serious crimes, crashes or injuries in Leelanau County.
