Lake Leelanau man arrested for domestic violence

A 19 year-old Leland Township man is in jail following his arrest for assaulting his children's mother.  The 19 year-old victim called Leelanau 911 from Suttons Bay at 8:22 pm Monday.  She told Leelanau County Sheriff's deputies that she and the suspect were arguing over use of a license plate in front of a Suttons Bay eating establishment.  The argument became physical and the woman suffered a cut lip.

Deputies arrested the suspect for Domestic Violence and he remains jailed pending a bond being set.  The injury did not require medical attention and alcohol was a factor in the incident.
