Circuit Court probationer jailed

A convicted third offense drunk driver was jailed on a probation violation yesterday.  Mark D. Nalewyko, 53, of Elmwood Township, will serve 3 days for refusing to submit to a preliminary breath test as requested. 

Nalewyko pleaded guilty to felony Operating While Intoxicated after he was discovered by Leelanau County Sheriff's deputies passed out in his vehicle along Cherry Bend Road in October 2011.  His blood alcohol result was an incredible .44%.  He will continue to be on probation after his release on this violation.
