Suspicious incident report in Lake Leelanau

Thursday, a citizen reported that she believed someone popped the top corner of her car window in an attempt to break in the vehicle the previous evening.  She was not available to have a deputy look at the car and did not want to make a report.

Citizens in Lake Leelanau are asked to be alert to any suspicious activity and to report it to the Leelanau County Sheriff's Office at 231-256-8800 or tips@co.leelanau.mi.us.

Safe driving is a must

Motorists are reminded that Leelanau County roads are still crowded with visitors and deer.  Stay alert and slow down to stay safe.  Leelanau Sheriff's deputies stopped 29 vehicles Thursday in an attempt to keep motorists safe by enforcing Michigan traffic laws.  As blog followers already know, there have been many alcohol-related crashes and drunk driving arrests recently.  Do your part and don't drink and drive.
