Bingham Township man injured in crash

An early morning crash near Peshawbestown sent a 42 year-old Traverse City man to Munson Medical Center.  Shawn K. Busby was southbound on N. Jacobson Road near Pobuda in Suttons Bay Township at 2:05 am Saturday when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a large tree.  He was transported by Suttons Bay EMS with incapacitating injuries.

There was airbag deployment and Leelanau County deputies determined that alcohol was a factor in the crash.  A blood test was conducted at the hospital  to determine the driver's intoxication level.
