Palmer picked up in Ottawa County
Probationer Shay A. Palmer was arrested in Ottawa County and brought back to Leelanau County Thursday. Palmer, 20, of Muskegon, was picked up on a District Court bench warrant for Failing to Appear at a show cause hearing.Palmer was convicted of Malicious Destruction of Police Property after a June 2012 incident in Elmwood County. Leelanau County Sheriff's deputies were investigating a large party involving minors drinking alcohol. He was arrested for obstructing the execution of a search warrant. As he was resisting arrest, he shattered the rear window of a patrol car from the outside with his forehead.
The defendant is being held on $1,700 bond pending a District Court appearance.
Domestic Violence probationer given jail time
Christopher T. Genereaux, 23, was sentenced to 180 in the Leelanau County Jail by Grand Traverse Band Tribal Court Thursday. Genereaux, of Peshawbestown, was convicted of Domestic Violence after a July 2013 incident on the GTB reservation. The Tribal Court revoked his probation and sent him to jail for 6 months with credit for 70 days already served. He will still be responsible for $1050 in fines and costs.GTB probationer surrenders
A man on Tribal probation for Fleeing and Eluding and Driving While Suspended 2nd Offense surrendered for arrest Thursday. Beau C. Munnell, 36, of Suttons Bay Township, was wanted on a Bench Warrant for Failing to Appear at a scheduled show cause hearing.He was released after posting $500 cash bond and will appear in Tribal Court at a later date on the matter.
